Do eels (yellow eel) have parasites?

Eels do harbor parasites, and of complex types. As aquatic carnivores eating snails, insects, and frogs – which themselves carry parasites – eels pick them up too. So when eating eel, clean the innards and inner wall thoroughly, then cook it completely, typically pan-frying or stir-frying for 5-10 minutes.
