Why does my dog leak urine?

Dog urine leakage relates to personality, age and disease. Timid dogs may leak when frightened or over-excited – avoid startling them. Young puppies lack mature bladder control. Elderly dogs leak as organs decline. Disease – cystitis, urinary tract infection, stones – also causes leakage. If the cause is unclear, take the dog to the vet for diagnosis and treatment.
