Dogs are pregnant about 65 days on average before giving birth; individual constitutions vary, some deliver around 60 days and a few at 72. Normally, if a dog reaches 70 days with no labor and no signs, get a B-ultrasound to check the fetuses. Or at day 60 take an X-ray to assess puppy head size against the mother’s pelvic width to judge whether she can deliver naturally.
