The bald spot in the photo looks like ringworm. Ringworm symptoms include round or oval patches with gray scales, a rough coat, and hair loss around the affected area. An infected cat feels intense itch and keeps scratching or biting the skin.
At home, use a Wood’s lamp on the spot – a green fluorescence reaction gives a preliminary diagnosis; you can also have a scraping done at the hospital. If ringworm is confirmed, treat the cat promptly to prevent it from spreading.
