What makes a dog healthy?

First, observe the dog’s mental state. A healthy dog generally looks energetic, with clear bright eyes, sharp reactions, and agile movement. If the dog looks dull, listless, and slow to react, it is likely unwell.

Second, observe the dog’s bowel movements. Normal stool should be brown or dark-brown and elongated, without a strong odor. If the stool is soft and watery, it indicates diarrhea, possibly from parasites or canine parvovirus.

Finally, observe the dog’s skin. If you notice abnormal shedding or frequent scratching of a particular area, it may have external parasites or bacterial or fungal skin disease.
