What is the difference between a Siamese cat and a Ragdoll cat?

The Siamese cat is a breed from Thailand and is short-haired, while the Ragdoll originates from the United States and is long-haired. In size they also differ greatly: the Ragdoll is a medium-to-large breed that can reach about 20 kg as an adult, with lighter individuals still over 10 kg. The Siamese is a medium-sized cat, usually weighing only 5–10 kg as an adult.

In addition, their personalities differ considerably. Ragdolls are gentle, sweet and docile, while Siamese cats are more lively, energetic, and tend to be naughtier.
