What is a Caucasian Wolfhound like?

The high wolf dog, also called the Caucasian Wolfhound, is a very large breed with thick, powerful bones and well-developed, sturdy muscles. Its temperament is rather fierce, and it belongs to the category of fighting/guard dogs.

In confrontations, the Caucasian Wolfhound displays great stamina and high fighting spirit; it is extremely resilient and fairly intelligent, giving it a high win rate against other fighting breeds. Finally, it is loyal to its owner and can get along with the owner’s children, but it is highly alert toward strangers and simply too large, which is why it is a banned breed in many cities.
