A pufferfish can be kept with mosquitofish, zebra danios and similar, but provide hiding and rest space during mixing to avoid territory fights and reduce injury. Pufferfish are somewhat aggressive and unsuited to slow, gentle small fish they may attack.
Also avoid keeping them with strongly aggressive large fish that could hurt the pufferfish.
