The Bichon Frise is a lively, friendly, intelligent, and very people-oriented dog. If you want to raise one, keep the following points in mind. First, Bichons are fairly active and need enough exercise to stay healthy, so the owner should take them out for walks and play every day, or prepare some toys indoors to help them burn off energy.
Second, their long white coat needs a clean, hygienic living environment along with regular bathing and grooming. Finally, Bichons are prone to tear stains and skin problems, so the owner should regularly check the dog’s condition and seek veterinary care promptly if anything abnormal is found.
β Two months ago my cat's right eye suddenly wouldn't open and it wouldn't let me touch it. A vet said it was the cornea and gave two bottles of drops. I used them a long time with no effect, stopped for a while, and it seemed worse - the eye is now cloudy. Another vet also said just keep using drops, but a few more times brought no change. I miss its two bright eyes; now only one is fine, which is heartbreaking. (The right eye has watered a lot since kittenhood - tears when it eats.)
