The diarrhea is considered acute gastroenteritis. If the puppy is energetic, it may be from environment change or diet, usually managed by fasting and withholding water for 24 hours with oral probiotics and pet anti-inflammatory medication. After 24 hours offer a little food and watch for continued diarrhea.

If diarrhea or vomiting continues, go to a vet to focus on infectious disease, because a puppy in a new environment may suddenly show carried infections like distemper or parvovirus.
