I found a small dog; what breed is it so I can know its common diseases?

The dog in the photo is a mixed breed with slightly curly fur, likely a cross between a Teddy and another breed. Because of hybrid vigor, a Teddy mix may have stronger disease resistance than a purebred Teddy.

Regardless of breed, care is much the same and there are no particular genetic diseases. But watch for patella (kneecap) injury in small dogs — avoid excessive jumping and stairs — and keep up vaccinations and deworming.
