1. Choose a fine breed

Many rabbit types exist by color – white, black, blue. Consider market demand, production and genetic performance, adaptability; pick high-demand, high-yield, easy, stable breeds like New Zealand and rex.

2. Buy from a proper source

Buy only from legal, quarantine-certified breeders; not roadside stalls with no quality guarantee, unfit for scale. Source from disease-free areas, then compare price and more before importing.

3. Reference factors for selection

After choosing the source, screen by build, looks, constitution; reject over-long incisors, splay legs, undescended or single testicle, other defects, or disease. Check the pedigree to ensure no inbreeding. Avoid too old or too young; 2-4 months is ideal. Meeting all, it is quality stock.

4. Import in the right season

Season matters; even good stock won’t survive well if imported wrong. Best in spring and autumn; avoid summer (heat, poor adaptation, poisoning/death). Winter is okay with warmth to avoid colds and loss.
