How to bathe a hamster?

Usually, hamsters do not need baths, because they keep themselves clean and use sand to groom their fur. If the hamster’s coat becomes oily or dirty, provide a sand bath container for it to bathe in.

Choose bath sand made specifically for hamsters, not ordinary soil or sand mixtures, to avoid harming the hamster’s health. Do not use water or other liquids to bathe a hamster, because this may cause colds or other health problems.
