Generally clean a birdcage every 2-7 days. In summer, high temperature breeds bacteria, so clean every 1-2 days and remove droppings and food scraps to protect the bird. In winter, weekly is fine, but remove droppings promptly and periodically disinfect the whole cage, perches, feeders and waterers.
