The Tibetan Mastiff, also called the Tibetan Mastiff, is a molosser from the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, used to help herders drive off wolves. It is huge, heavily boned, muscular and thick-coated.

With a fierce, usually silent nature it is intimidating, but very loyal, recognizing only one owner for life. As a strong, aggressive breed it is banned in cities, and its high exercise need means it cannot be confined indoors long-term.
