What Does It Look Like When a Cat Has Worms?

A cat with worms usually shows abnormal appetite (increased or decreased), weight loss, soft stool, diarrhea, bloody or jelly-like mucus in stool, vomiting, abdominal pain, and a rough, dull coat. If not dewormed promptly, it may lead to anemia and weakness.

In addition, if a cat is infected with visible parasites like tapeworms or roundworms, when the count is high you may see worms or eggs in the stool or around the anus. If the owner notices these symptoms, promptly take the cat to a vet for a fecal examination.
