Turkish Angora
The Turkish Angora, named for Turkey's capital Ankara, is one of the oldest long-haired breeds, dating to the 16th century. Elegant with silky, medium-length coat and almond eyes, it is agile, independent, and famously fond of water. Once nearly supplanted by the Persian, it was revived in the US from 1963 and is now carefully bred to preserve its pure bloodline.

Oriental Shorthair
The Oriental Shorthair is a distinct breed, unexpectedly produced by breeders while developing another cat. They wanted a pure-white Siamese, so crossed Siamese with pure-white cats, producing today's Oriental. Though born in 1962, it was recognized as a new breed in 1972. Its appearance is close to the Siamese but differs greatly in coat color.
Egyptian Mau
The Egyptian Mau (Felinae) is found worldwide. Although called the Egyptian Mau, it cannot be confirmed that it originated in Egypt; however, because its image and written records appear in ancient Egyptian murals, steles, and papyrus scrolls, people believe its ancestor is the African wildcat. In the 1950s, the Egyptian Mau was introduced to the United States and Britain, and in 1968 it won awards in formal competitions.

The Purple Grenadier (Uraeginthus ianthinogaster) is a richly colored and beautiful finch with a gentle, non-shy temperament that gets along well with people, making it an excellent pet bird. It is mainly distributed across Somalia, Sudan, Ethiopia, Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda.
Brambling
The Brambling is fairly widely distributed and is a small bird about 16 cm in length. It usually moves in flocks, pairing up only during the breeding season, and typically roosts in trees. Because it pecks crops, it causes some agricultural harm.

The Silver Fox Rabbit is a standard fur-breed rabbit with a soft, beautiful coat, but it has weak adaptability and has not been widely promoted or kept. Originating in the former Soviet Union, it is a precious fur-breed variety valued both for its pelt and as a pet.
