How Do You Care for a Silver-Eared Mesia?

A newly arrived silver-eared mesia may be nervous and show cage-bashing or refusal to eat, so avoid disturbing it; interact only after it settles in.

In the wild they eat ladybugs, wild fruit, and seeds; in captivity feed a mixed diet plus a little mealworm and vegetables or fruit daily. They enjoy bathing, so provide a tub of room-temperature water for them to splash in.
