Common causes of rabbit diarrhea
1. Poor diet. Too many unsuitable treats like candy or chocolate, or excess alfalfa, fruit, and vegetables, overloads protein and carbs and triggers diarrhea.
2. Chilling. Cold weather or a too-strong AC, plus no warmth, or a damp coat after a bath that is not dried, all cause chill-induced diarrhea.
3. Stress. Frequent feed changes, moving, or meeting strangers or new places unsettles the rabbit and causes loose stools.
4. Illness. Bacterial or parasitic enteritis and other gut diseases cause diarrhea, sometimes with blood. Too many snacks and greens also upset digestion and cause loose stools.

1. For diet-driven diarrhea, fast the rabbit for half a day and offer warm water with a gut probiotic, then watch; resume normal feeding once droppings normalize.
