Do dogs dream?

Dogs do dream. They have sleep patterns and brain activity similar to humans, and smaller dogs tend to dream more than larger ones. Dogs have all kinds of dreams, such as playing outside or chasing their tails. If a deeply sleeping dog’s eyes move rapidly and it makes soft whimpering sounds, it is dreaming. Do not disturb it then, to avoid startling it.
