Differences Between the West German and East German Shepherd:

How do they differ? West German breeding leans toward conformation showing; East German breeding leans toward working ability. The East German line has no showy topline, while the West German has a distinct back curve. Here, ‘West German’ usually means the show line, ‘East German’ the working line. Though from the same country, their builds and roles differ.
