Without deworming, a Husky may be infected with various internal parasites such as roundworms, hookworms, tapeworms, and heartworms. These live and multiply in the body, impairing nutrition absorption and immunity, leading to discomfort, malnutrition, anemia, weakness, even death.

It may also get external parasites like fleas, lice, mites, and ticks, causing itching, hair loss, and bumps while draining nutrition and causing anemia. Beyond the dog’s health, not deworming also risks owners, since some parasites spread to humans via feces and fur.
