What if a dog is injected in the wrong spot?

Injections include subcutaneous, intravenous and intramuscular. Vaccines are usually subcutaneous and can go in any subcutaneous site, but to reduce pain are often given in the loose neck skin. A wrong but still subcutaneous spot still absorbs and immunizes normally.

But if the needle hits muscle or a nerve, absorption or other reactions may be affected, and you should see a vet.
