Why does my dog keep barking?

A dog that keeps barking may have a need or feel afraid. When it has a physical need, it barks to tell the owner—e.g., wanting food or water it wasn’t given, it barks at you to remind you.

Also, when it feels threatened or afraid, it barks as a warning. Further, a timid dog may be startled by small sounds and bark nonstop.
