Crystal shrimp prefer slightly acidic water. While keeping them, it is best to keep the pH between 5.5 and 7.0. Adding some substrate soil at the bottom of the tank helps maintain the water’s slight acidity.

Crystal shrimp also dislike hard water, so during breeding keep the GH between 2.0 and 4.0 (raise it to 4.0-6.0 during reproduction). In addition, crystal shrimp are quite sensitive to cold, so keep the water temperature between 20 and 24°C.
