If a puppy’s fever does not go down, the owner should take it to a veterinary hospital promptly for an antipyretic injection. If the puppy still has fever, imaging or blood biochemistry tests are needed to judge the cause comprehensively and treat the primary disease to fully relieve the fever.

If it is temporarily inconvenient to go to a vet, you can try giving the puppy fever medicine containing flunixin meglumine, metamizole, or tolfenamic acid.
