What is the English Springer Spaniel like?

The English Springer Spaniel is from England, a medium sporting dog about 46-48 cm tall and 16-28 kg. It is optimistic and warm, very gentle with owners and safe with elderly and children, and smart enough to learn sit, handshake and down easily.

But it is very energetic and loud, so it easily disturbs neighbors and needs long daily outings. It also sheds heavily, so brush often to avoid mats.
