What happens if a dog eats eggs?

Eggs supply protein and lecithin, and moderate feeding promotes coat growth and makes the fur softer. But too many eggs at once cause bloating, abdominal pain and vomiting from indigestion.

Long-term overfeeding can also cause obesity, high cholesterol and pancreatitis. Generally only feed the yolk, because too much egg white loads the dog with avidin, which interferes with vitamin H absorption.
