What happens if a cat is not fed for a long time?

Not feeding a cat for long causes hunger and dehydration, possibly low blood sugar or shock, and severe cases fatty liver or even death. Before going out, prepare enough food or board the cat at a pet shop.

If withholding food due to pickiness, the fast should not exceed 2 days; or mix kibble with canned food and add probiotics to regulate the gut.
