What does a cat tapeworm look like?

Cat tapeworms are white or milky, opaque, ribbon-like worms ranging from a few millimeters to several meters long, divided into scolex, neck and proglottids. An infected cat may occasionally pass gravid segments that stick around the anus and irritate it. Severe infection shows poor digestion, anorexia, vomiting, diarrhea, constipation or alternating diarrhea and constipation, anemia and weight loss. If you notice these, deworm the cat promptly to avoid greater harm.
