What do oscars (map fish) eat?

Oscars are carnivorous, mainly eating fish, shrimp, benthic animals, and aquatic insects. In captivity, feed small fish, shrimp, mealworms, bloodworms, loach, pellets, and poultry or livestock offal.

Before feeding live food, chop it and remove sharp parts to avoid hurting the fish, especially when feeding shrimp.
