Why is the bobcat not suitable to keep as a pet?

The bobcat is unsuitable as a pet mainly because of temperament. Although it is physically strong and resistant to disease, its character is irritable, unfriendly and aggressive, and it is quick to anger, so owners are easily hurt. It dislikes being caged at home and prefers the wild, has long hind legs and strong jumping, so a runaway is hard to catch. Its lifespan is short, only about 8 years.
