What is this growth? It’s been there a while — it used to look like a boil, now the top seems to have lost blood flow but hasn’t fallen off, and the base has broken open. Does it need to be removed?
From the photo, the dog likely has a polyp on its neck. If it shows no other abnormality it can be left alone, but if it bleeds or ulcerates it is prone to infection and should be removed at a vet. After removal, follow the vet's post-op care to prevent infection, and a biopsy may be needed to check the cells.

Acute myocarditis: rapid full pulse, strong palpitations, loud heart sounds; after exercise, fast heart persists long. Myocardial malnutrition/degeneration → heart failure. Lost compensation → mucosal cyanosis, severe dyspnea, superficial vein dilation, limb/abdominal edema, sudden death from failure. Treatment: rest, less exercise, metabolic drugs.
