My rescued adult dog has likely had pups; severe tear stains, red-yellow mouth, eye inflammation

Heavy tear stains can come from genes, disease, or entropion. Teddy and Bichon have shallow, closed tear ducts and little lid space, easily tearing and staining; only regular cleaning and care or surgery to reduce tears helps. Disease like dacryoadenitis, ear infection, or eye inflammation and entropion can also cause it. For eye inflammation, adjust the diet to light food, rinse with saline, keep the eye clean, and use eye drops to ease inflammation and reduce stains.
