Your cat’s eye likely has conjunctivitis or edema. If no vet is reachable, buy an antibacterial eye drop, such as neomycin sulfate drops, and use it five to six times a day, one to three drops each, for three to five days to see if it improves.

If the cat scratches the eye, fit an Elizabethan collar to avoid worsening infection, and keep its diet light. If other symptoms appear or infection worsens, take it to a vet promptly.
