A cat’s worse temper is mostly from unfamiliar surroundings and rebellion against the owner, especially right after a move, when it may act aggressively. Don’t force closeness β use a gentle voice to call it.
For a long-kept cat, try adding another cat as a companion to ease mood. Each cat differs; if temper is bad, don’t force disliked activities or scold loudly, which only irritates more.
Keep being kind and respect its wishes; over time it will feel it and resist less. Finally, check if it is in heat, when irritability and rebellion peak β spaying will gradually improve this.
