A 1-month-old puppy with ticks can use a topical containing fipronil or selamectin, found in most brands like Frontline or Advocate. Apply to the back of the neck where it cannot lick, and use an E-collar.
Also remove ticks manually: spray or press medical alcohol on the tick’s head to numb it and make it release, then pull it out slowly with tweezers. If unsure, do not force it, to avoid leaving mouth parts and causing dermatitis.
