Can a cat develop nephritis after COVID-19? The vet said so and I am doubtful.

The chance a cat develops nephritis after COVID-19 is low. Studies show low transmission in cats, and even infected cats have mild symptoms, less than a cold, and basically recover on their own.
So COVID causes less body damage in cats than human aftereffects, and no clinical case of COVID causing nephritis is known. When a cat has nephritis, do a full check to find the real cause and treat it.
