Is this cat a Scottish Fold?

From the picture it does look like a Scottish Fold, though it may not be purebred. Most Scottish Folds carry a skeletal genetic disease called osteochondrodysplasia, which has no cure once it appears; only supplements and medication can ease the pain.

When it occurs, the main signs are abnormal joint and bone development, deformed foot bones, a stiff tail, and difficulty walking. Some Scottish Folds show symptoms only after a year, while others may never develop them in their lifetime.

For Scottish Folds, we should neither buy nor promote them; those already kept should be treated well.
