How to tell good from bad Sulcata tortoise eggs?

By surface observation, a normally developing Sulcata tortoise egg is very round like a small ball, and its surface is dry and non-sticky. If obvious abnormalities are visible, it means the egg has gone bad.

In addition, Sulcata eggs may be unfertilized. The owner can use an egg candler to shine light through the egg; if an eye spot is visible and the yolk occupies a large area, it can be judged fertilized, and a fertilized egg will show white spots.
