How to save a dying hamster?

Saving a dying hamster depends on the situation. If the hamster is already very weak, self-treatment is generally not advised; take it to a veterinary hospital for professional help as soon as possible to avoid missing the last chance to save it.

If the hamster looks unwell because of a cold, first keep it warm by shining a heat lamp on the cage, then give it a little glucose. If there is no improvement, take it to the hospital for examination promptly. If the hamster has diarrhea, you can first give it some dry food, or a small amount of activated-charcoal water, then observe whether its symptoms improve.
