How long until a dog shows symptoms of toxoplasmosis?

The time before a dog shows toxoplasmosis symptoms is not fixed; many infected dogs show no clear signs, as a silent latent infection. Weak dogs may later show drowsiness, lethargy, diarrhea, reduced appetite and fever, sometimes neurological signs.

Pregnant dogs may abort or deliver prematurely. Toxoplasmosis is zoonotic, so isolate the dog and take it to a vet promptly once infection is found.
