How long can a dog with an anal adenoma live?

If the dog’s anal adenoma is benign, timely surgical removal is enough and generally will not affect the dog’s lifespan. But if the anal adenoma is malignant, surgery may need to be followed by chemotherapy to inhibit the growth and spread of the tumor; if not well controlled, the dog may die in a short time.

To prevent anal adenomas, the owner should bathe the dog regularly, manage its diet properly, and give it moderate exercise to avoid anal gland swelling.
