If there are ticks in a room, spray some insecticide, mainly on floors, desks, curtains, windowsills, and under beds—places your skin won’t directly touch. After the chemical acts for a while, open windows for ventilation and wipe clean with water.

If textiles like bedding and clothes have ticks, collect them and soak in boiling water, then sun-dry them. If you keep pets at home, also deworm them regularly to keep their parasites from dropping into the indoor environment and affecting human health.
