Discus fish prefer live food like brine shrimp, daphnia, bloodworms and tubifex, but keep it fresh and clean to avoid harmful germs and parasites. Use pellets as the staple and add live food occasionally for nutrition, feeding 1 to 2 times daily, or 2 to 4 times for fry.

Do not overfeed; watch that they finish within 3 to 10 minutes, or leftover food rots and badly harms water quality.
