Veterinarians do not travel often. Generally, a veterinarian travels to solve work issues such as house calls, meetings, branch support, technical exchanges, and training. Whether such outings count as business trips depends on whether they are work or self-study; only company-assigned travel for work purposes is a business trip, and its length varies with the work. Training taken to gain academic and medical experience is common and usually lasts one to two weeks, but mostly requires the individual to invest their own money, vacation, and time.
