It’s fairly normal for a dog to have diarrhea and seem sleepy after taking deworming medicine. The medication is somewhat toxic and irritating, and as it acts on intestinal parasites it disrupts their nerves and makes them briefly active.
During that active period the dog’s intestinal lining gets irritated, which can cause abdominal pain and diarrhea. You can give your dog an appropriate amount of pet probiotics to support its gut and observe for one to two days. If the diarrhea is severe, take the dog to a veterinary hospital for fluid therapy.
← My hamster fell from a cabinet, landing on its head; it fainted for a while, then got up but its limbs are uncoordinated and slow, it walks unsteadily swaying its head, and now it can't run — can it be saved? Is it disorientation syndrome?
The kitten passed a little stool at birth and the anus is open, but when helped to eliminate it only urinates with no stool; the mother cat can't care for it, and it can't pass stool. →
