What Does Normal Rabbit Urine Look Like?

Normally, rabbit urine is a yellow transparent liquid, similar to pale yellow apple juice.

If the urine looks whitish and leaves a white powdery residue after drying, it is usually proteinuria from too much alfalfa hay; reduce alfalfa feeding to avoid kidney stones.

If the urine turns brown, orange or dark soy-sauce colored, there may be a problem with the urinary tract or uterus, and a vet check is advised if symptoms are severe or persist.
