How often should a guppy tank have its water changed?

Expert Answer

Change water every 3-7 days; good quality allows a longer cycle, but change only about one third each time. Too-frequent or large changes stress the fish and can kill them.

Measure the old water temperature and match the new water, keeping the difference within 1-2C.
