At what age can a hill myna feed itself?

Around 1 month of age, the owner can train the hill myna to feed itself by reducing daytime hand-feeding, even letting it get a bit hungry, then placing food in hand or dish to guide pecking.

If it does not eat enough by day, feed it fully at night. During hand-feeding, keep using soft food; once it learns to eat, make the soft food drier and provide appropriate drinking water.
